Dessert Paintings Showing Soon at Hidell Brooks Gallery

Tollhouse Afternoon, acrylic on panel, 16″ x 16″

It’s been a while since I posted anything to my blog, but I’ve been very busy, locked away working on my first large body of work – big dessert paintings for Hidell Brooks Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ll be participating in their January 2019 show, and I’m excited for the opportunity to work bigger and focus in on my dessert paintings. Please check out my Available Paintings page to see what I’ll be shipping there. And yes, Hidell Brooks does ship both in the U.S. and internationally in case there are any pieces you might be interested in! Thanks for looking!

I’m a full-time acrylic realism and trompe l’oeil painter creating whimsical food paintings inspired by real-life creations that I bake, decorate or scoop in my kitchen. All of my paintings are flat, painted with many thin layers of acrylic paint, aiming to look at three-dimensional as possible. I hope you’ll join me on the journey of creating art that brings a little happy magic into the world. I’ll be sharing my process, my insights, and hopefully some things that will inspire you to appreciate the little things around you every day.
